The Drama League Theater Center was founded in May 2013. The Center is located on the lobby level of the historic former AT&T Building at 32 Avenue of the Americas, in the heart of TriBeCa’s arts district. It features the Joseph and Lauren Pizza Welcome Center, a full administrative suite, and the Jill and Martin Handelsman Legacy Gallery showcasing Directors Project alumni work on Broadway. However, the focal point of the Center is the Stewart F. Lane and Bonnie Comley Studio Lab, a multi-use theatre laboratory.
The Drama League Theater Center is a home for theater makers and audiences in New York City to create, explore, collaborate, learn, share, inspire, and be inspired. Artists and non-artists alike can experience the creative process from unexpected angles; learn new skills and techniques from the world’s best artistic minds; discover opportunities for collaboration and conversation; and participate in the development of new plays and musicals.
